R3Cover Data Recovery Software for Mac is simple to use, as soon as the program launches you will be able to see all of the storage devices that are connected to your computer, from here the recovery process can begin proper.
R3Cover Drive Folder/File View
Once you have chosen the volume to recover, you will be able to browse the file system from root level. Sometimes files can be hidden in plain sight. Use R3Cover's search function to browse for your missing files. R3Cover will list files that are normally hidden to Spotlight searches!
Choose Your Scan Options
With R3Cover you decide the parameters of the scan, choose between a full scan and a deleted file scan. Deleted files on a Mac OS X system that are 20MB or less can normally be recovered in their entirety, thanks to the operating system automatically defragmenting files that are 20MB or less.
Files Start To Appear Straight Away
Hit the Scan button and watch as files start to appear almost instantly. We recommend that you wait for the scan to complete before cancelling and trying to recover your files. Waiting for the scan to complete will ensure that the recovery is as complete as it can be. Lost Files and Folders will be displayed alongside a list of files that may have been deleted categorised by their file types.
Scanning Complete
Once your scan has successfully completed you can browse the list of recoverable data to find your lost files. The trial version limits recovery to 100KB, whereas the full licensed version allows you to recover everything and anything that has been found during the scanning process.
Built-In File Viewer
R3Cover comes complete with a built-in file viewer that supports many popular file types. The file viewer works in both Trial and Fully activated software and allows you to view supported file types in a small thumbnail view. This feature is particularly useful if you wish to recover image files, such as digital photographs and images in .JPG; .TIF; .PSD; .PNG formats.
